Storyline:
In South Boston, the state police waging war on Irish-American organized crime. Young undercover cop Billy Costigan is assigned to infiltrate the mob syndicate criminal by boss Frank Costello run. While Billy is quickly gaining Costellos confidence, Colin Sullivan, a hardened young criminal who has infiltrated the state police as an informer for the syndicate, to ascend to positions of power in the special investigation team. But when it becomes clear how the mafia and the police, saying Theres among them, Billy and Colin suddenly in danger of being caught and exposed to the enemy and each must race to discover the identity of the other man in time to save himself.
